EYFS results 2013
This year saw the introduction of a revised Early Years Foundation Stage framework. The revised EYFS profile requires schools to assess children against a new set of 17 early learning goals. In the final term of Reception year, children are assessed as working below (emerging), at the expected level or above (exceeding) each of the learning goals. These judgements are translated into an assessment rating of either 1 – emerging, 2 – expected or 3 – exceeding. Because of the many differences from previous years, it is not possible to make any direct comparison.
